NOTICE FROM THE FOUNDATION RECORDS AND INFORMATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION

No evidence to support the existence of the anomaly described in the following file has been discovered.

— Vanilla Fall, RAISA

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Foundation Webcrawler Delta-648 (“RUMINATE”) is to continuously monitor the web for references of SCP-X and SCP-X related events. Upon discovery, this content is to be downloaded onto a secure hard drive and removed from the web.

At the time of writing, complete containment of SCP-X is not possible, as the Foundation has not discovered a way to track down every person affected by SCP-X. Affected persons who are discovered to be are to be interviewed, administered amnestics, and released to the general public.

Description: SCP-X is the collective designation for a series of eight anomalous semantic cerebrations1which occurs in 0000.1 percent of the population. The eight different instances will all occur exactly one week after the previous one.

The specifics of SCP-X will differ per person, though are typically disturbing, gruesome, unnerving, and violent in nature.

Approximately an hour after the instance occurs, the effects of the event proposed by the instance will spontaneously manifest in reality. (i.e. hand will be cut, leg will be broken)

Discovery: SCP-X was discovered on 09/17/2017 when Site-23 Webcrawler Delta-501 (“GOODBOT”) was completing a routine search of the web. Delta-501 discovered a forum page on the website “psychforums.com” discussing a phenomenon titled “Tactile Cognition Syndrome”, the symptoms of which described the events of SCP-X. Webcrawlers discovered the events of SCP-X being referenced on other webpages. The forum page was taken down, and containment measures were enacted.

Kinda boring if you ask me.
