Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of these augmentations, it has been deemed unethical to remove the entity from its current comatose state.

Archived Containment Procedures:

Description: SCP-XXXX is a mechanically modified Canis lupus familiaris (Domestic dog) similar in appearance to a communications satellite of Soviet design. Extended observation has concluded that SCP-XXXX is alive, albeit in an extended comatose state. Roughly 86% of SCP-XXXX's body possesses augmentations, mainly consisting of obsolete broadcasting and life-extending equipment. SCP-XXXX is presently in High Earth Orbit (HEO) and shows severe exposure damage, making its intended function unknown.

Notable SCP-XXXXX augmentations include:

  • A modified autojektor1 implanted within SCP-XXXX's torso. Medical tubing from the device feeds into the lungs and heart, resulting in their artificial resuscitation. Organs such as the intestines and kidneys are notably absent. Dented metal plating covers the device, protecting the exposed cavity.
  • A pair of large solar arrays attached to the lumbar spine of SCP-XXXX. Wiring from the arrays is run through the spinal cavity, providing power to the anomaly. The left-facing array is completely shattered, likely due to impact damage caused by debris.
  • The severed head of SCP-XXXX, attached to the body through thick medical tubing encompassing the neck stump. The head shows no visible effects from extended vacuum exposure, save for bruises likely caused by water vapor.
  • A single reflector antenna attached to the coccyx of SCP-XXXX. Examination of SCP-XXXX shows the base of a second antenna attached to the sacrum, although the main dish appears to have been forcibly removed.
  • An additional three canine hearts implanted within SCP-XXXX's thoracic cavity. Implanted organs appear to be nonfunctional, having not been correctly integrated into the circulatory system, and are instead attached to the walls of the cavity.
  • The remains of a propulsion system, discovered 23 kilometers away from the anomaly. Debris show no anomalous properties and are consistent with propulsion systems utilized in the 1960s. Written on a piece of debris are the words "Собачий приемопередатчик"2 in stylized black lettering.
  • A rudimentary command receiver installed within SCP-XXXX's abdomen. The device appears to be constructed from various early computer parts, severely limiting its capabilities. At random intervals, this device will receive commands in the Analitik programming language from an unknown source, with the device providing a response. These commands mainly consist of attempts to utilize SCP-XXXX's since destroyed propulsion system, along with attempts to communicate with SCP-XXXX, referred to as "потерянный"3 in several commands.

Due to its current state of disrepair, SCP-XXXX is estimated to cease functioning by 1991.

It dies.
