SCP-XXXX box art.

Special Containment Procedures: Foundation web crawler Delta-98 ("CANCEL-KAMI") is to continuously monitor the web for any posts referencing "Kami" in any fashion, and reply with an automated explanation for its cancelation. All copies of “Kami” are to be pulled from production incase SCP-XXXX properties spontaneously manifest within.

Physical copies of “Kami” are to be kept at all-male research facility Site-78. SCP-XXXX is to be uploaded to a desktop computer fixed to accommodate and store anomalous files in Researcher Oliver Crane’s office. When not being utilized for testing, is to be stored in a password-protected zip file.

SCP-XXXX is not to be opened within 3.048 meters of any personnel that identify as female.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a singular copy of “Kami”, a VOCALOID voicebank developed by Yamaha Corporation that was announced for the VOCALOID4 engine1.

Any person who identifies as female that is in within 3.048 meters of SCP-XXXX2 will feel compelled to cease any activity she was doing previously, and begin to create a specific song (designated SCP-XXXX-A) with the VOCALOID4 engine using SCP-XXXX. Affected persons without access to VOCALOID4 will purchase a digital copy of the software, a DAW3, a VST plugin4, and assume SCP-XXXX affected activity. SCP-XXXX-A, when created by affected individuals will appear in various states of incompletion. The melodies and lyrics comprising SCP-XXXX-A remain consistent, though individuals have concluded the song with various compositions. These alterations will continue to manifest in future iterations.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a sapient incorporeal entity which claims to be the spirit of Ichika Dobayashi, a Japanese demo-song producer initially hired to write for “Kami’s” demo-reel who was killed in a truck accident before she could begin her work. It has been concluded that SCP-XXXX-1 is connected to SCP-XXXX, as it cannot communicate outside from using the VOCALOID4 editor with SCP-XXXX as the selected voicebank. How SCP-XXXX-1 became bound to SCP-XXXX is unknown.

It has been discovered that SCP-XXXX-1 is behind the specifics of the actions SCP-XXXX affected individuals. It has claimed that it “attempts to guide” individuals to write SCP-XXXX-A, but will release them before it has guided the song to completion. For more information, see Addendum 2.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered when a female employee and female secretary both entered the room in which SCP-XXXX was currently in. A verbal argument between the two began, both claiming to "know the true lyrics", insisting that themselves should be the one to write the song. The head of the "Kami" project, Hiro Danzaki claimed that neither the lyrics nor melody the women claimed to have been instructed to write had been planned for any of "Kami's" demo songs. Foundation agents were dispatched to the scene when the local police were called to the building when every woman in the "Kami" project had joined the quarrel.

SCP-XXXX and all copies of "Kami" were retrieved, and involved persons were administered Class-A amnestics.

SCP-XXXX-1 was discovered when Researcher Oliver Crane was scanning SCP-XXXX's file for a possible source behind its discovery event, when words began to appear in the form of boxes that typically hold lyrics. The words which appeared expressed anger, demanding for a female to be brought into the room. SCP-XXXX-1 was denied this request, and told that it would be getting an explanation for its' current circumstances shortly. SCP-XXXX was stored in a secure file, and SCP-XXXX-1 did not attempt to communicate again until SCP-XXXX was re-opened the next day.

Addendum1: SCP-XXXX-A

The following is the lyrics of SCP-XXXX-A. The following is the most recent5 iteration of the song to date.

It’s perfect, so perfect
Starts out like a dream
It’s so worth it so worth it
Till you fall outa reach

It’s unfair, it’s unfair
That this tragedy
Has suddenly plagued on me
The skylines that we used to watch are suddenly so dull
I know without you I can’t feel a thing but emptiness and null
I can still feel your aching heart
Just remember no matter how far we are apart
We will always be one
With us there’s never ‘we’re done’

They say soulmates well with us that’s literally true
Cause my one true soulmate is you

You know that, you know that
My love for you is strong
That’s why I’m so desperate
So desperate
To get to you this song

It’s dire, it’s dire
That to me you see
The something that
