WARNING: This document contains a Code: AMBER lethal cognitohazard. Access is restricted to staff who have the appropriate linguistic and memetic training, as certified by Head Researcher Bocklin.
It is advised that a muteness memetic agent is self-administered until containment procedures have been read and understood. If accessing this document from a Foundation workstation your alphanumeric keys will be temporarily disabled.
Item #: [EXPUNGED]
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Direct reference through speech or text is forbidden. Replication of image is forbidden. New staff must undergo linguistic-memetic training before being made aware of their assignment.
Contained within modified humanoid containment cell at site-##. Sustenance, consisting of a standard humanoid meal package and 10 live mice, is to be delivered daily. Cell and accessing antechamber are kept in complete darkness to minimise possibility of a containment breach. Observation is possible through a periscope installed between the cell and antechamber - a light within the cell can be activated only from the antechamber, and will turn off automatically after 30 seconds.
Due to the difficulty associated with a civilian containment breach, primary containment is to be considered a category-AA priority. Assigned personnel are to have their records temporarily removed from Foundation systems. Preference is to be given to personnel with no external relationships or prior Foundation assignments.
In the event of a containment breach, Foundation cognitohazard CH-795 ("BLACKOUT") is authorised for deployment in civilian areas.
Special Containment Procedures-1: Foundation drones are to be dispatched to collect and transport to secure site XXXX-001. Foundation AI is to expunge all related data from any and all databases, records, and….. . Due to risks associated with containment breach, concealment of Foundation expungement is to be considered a secondary and optional objective to the expungement itself.
How do you make someone disappear? People part….
Description: Alive, humanoid, reptilian. Discovered by [DATA EXPUNGED] south of Lemnos, Aegean Sea. Primary anomalous effect is triggered by linguistic reference or direct ocular observation. Nouns and pronouns, including those derived through nominalization,1 trigger anomalous effects. Adjectives or references without knowledge are safe for use.
If a party refers or observes, they will undergo rapid petrification. Organic material is replaced by silicates, with the process lasting between 2 and 14 minutes (with a mean time of 8 minutes 23 seconds). Petrification begins in the abdomen, moving downwards into the lower limbs, before affecting the thorax, upper limbs, and lastly the head. Consciousness is retained for the majority of the process until death resulting from theorised suffocation or cardiac arrest.2
Upon full petrification, transference of the primary anomalous effect occurs. The anomalous linguistic element could facilitate a chain reaction, as there appears to be no distance limitation on petrification occurring - see Incident Log….how would you write an incident log?
